The Best of Beverly Hills

* BHPD and BHFD and their 2.5 minutes' response time

* The BH Public Library and its being open on weekends too. The always helpful staff is now also offering free lessons by appointment on how to navigate the Internet.

* Our being assured that at least 25% of our water will soon be supplied from within our City's borders. This includes creating our own water wells, a new treatment plant and the reconstruction of the Coldwater Canyon Reservoir.

Thanks to the Council's actions, we will no longer be entirely dependent on the vagaries of the world's largest water agency, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

* Summer classical concerts in the courtyard of the Greystone Mansion.

And, now, monthly Sunday concerts inside the Greystone Mansion.

Only 50 seats are available in the lovely salon.

Tickets must be purchased in advance, by calling (310) 285-2536.

Greystone Mansion salon, as formerly furnished, now is the scene of chamber music concerts

These events are so popular that Saturday matinees might be considered as well.

* The best urban forestry program in Southern California with street tree preservation, and appropriate replacement, among the City's highest priorities.

Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Blvd. as seen from Rodeo Dr.

If you think there should also be a Worst of Beverly Hills List, let us know what to you'd like to include.
